American Airlines Premium Economy

In november I had the privilege of flying on one of the first flights of American Airlines’ new Boeing 787-9. Also new was the introduction of American Airlines Premium Economy on that aircraft type – I flew from Madrid to Dallas in this new cabin class.

I had booked a ticket for regular Economy (or, ‘Main Cabin’ as AA calls it), but because of my AAdvantage Executive Platinum elite-status, I could select a seat in ‘Main Cabin Extra’. And because the Premium Economy seats were not sold yet officially, they were in the books as ‘Main Cabin Extra’. So, for the price of the cheapest seat in Economy, I could fly the best seat in Premium Economy!

Have you flown in Premium Economy? On American or another airline? Let me know in the comments below!
