Garuda Indonesia’s Super Diamond Seat by NeverNotFlying.
In the spring of 2017 I had a round of flights in South-east Asia. The route went from Amsterdam via Paris to, amongst others, Vietnam, South Korea and Bali, Indonesia. I had 10 flights in total. I will create a video about every long-haul flight.
The first long haul flight was with Air France in Premium Economy, click here for that post. Next up was Vietnam Airlines in their new A350 Business Class, click here for that post. The video in this post is about my flight with Garuda Indonesia from Seoul (ICN) in South Korea to Denpasar (DPS) on Bali, Indonesia in their new(ish) Super Diamond Seat Business Class.
Korean Air Lounge
After arriving to Seoul with Vietnam Airlines, I visited the Korean Air lounge, where I had some breakfast. Vietnam Airlines, Korean Air and Garuda Indonesia are all members of SkyTeam and use eachothers lounges.
Garuda Indonesia Super Diamond Seat
I was happy when it was time for boarding, as I was looking forward to the flight, and to try out the new Super Diamond Seat on Garuda Indonesia’s Airbus A330. Garuda’s A330-300’s are all pretty new. I was greeted warmly at boarding, and found my seat quickly. I had flown in a Super Diamond Seat before, but Garuda has managed to make it their own.
Garuda Indonesia’s Business Class has a staggered, 1-2-1, lay-out, and offers all-aisle access. All seats offer a lot of privacy, but I prefer the windowseats for even better privacy and was lucky enough to be seated there.
It was a day-time flight, with take-off around noon, which meant a Lunch service on board. As you can see from the video, I had some great food an drink. Garuda offer Billecart Salmon Brut Rosé in Business, one of my favorite champagnes – lucky me! 🙂 We landed just after sunset and just before landing I had a little snack – satay.
Garuda Indonesia Value
My ticket was an award-booking, I paid only 25.000 Flying Blue miles, which is a good price for a medium/long-haul flight in these Super Diamond Seats!
