Recently I’ve completed a status challenge with American Airlines, which, among other places, took me to the island of Saint Maarten. From there I decided to also go to the island of Saba, which is part of my country of The Netherlands. You can go there either by ferry or by plane. Of course I chose the latter.
The flight is only 13 minutes long. It starts at Saint Maarten’s SXM airport and ends at Saba’s SAB airport. One thing to know about SAB is that it has only one runway, and that runway is only 400 meters long! Another thing to know is that officially that runway is closed to all traffic, except to those with special dispensation. The airline I used, Winair, has that dispensation. These ingredients make this flight and especially a Saba Landing pretty special 🙂

Have you ever been to Saint Maarten (SXM) or Saba (SAB)? Let me know in the comments!
PS my previous video, the one about Emirates First Class, has been freebooted, aka stolen, a few times. Because of this I’ve added some extra NeverNotFlying.com branding to this video. I hope you don’t mind. I don’t like having to do this, but there are a lot of f*(&êrs out there that don’t respect other peoples’ hard work and copyrights. Thank you.
