Vietnam Airlines A350! Business Class to Seoul by NeverNotFlying.
In the spring of 2017 I had a round of flights in South-east Asia. The route went from Amsterdam via Paris to, amongst others, Vietnam, South Korea and Bali, Indonesia. I had 10 flights in total. I will create a video about every long-haul flight.
The first long haul flight was with Air France in Premium Economy to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, click here for that post. The video in this post is aobut my flight from Ho Chi Minh (SGN) in Vietnam to Seoul (ICN) in South Korea.
Vietnam Airlines (VN) operates the Lotus Lounge at Tan Son Nhat airport (SGN), which is not an big or very luxurious lounge, but it’s a functional Business Class lounge. Pre-flight, I had some food and a drink or 2.
Vietnam Airlines A350 Business Class Seat
The seats in Vietnam Airlines’ A350 Business Class have a staggered, 1-2-1, lay-out. The offer all-aisle accesss, but only the true window seats, which I was lucky enough to get, has some real privacy. This seat is more or less the same as the ones Garuda Indonesia offers on their flight to Amsterdam (AMS) and London (LHR).
The flight was a red eye. Take-off was around midnight. Even so, a full hot meal was offered. I had the Vietnamese Pho as a main. Champagned was served in a regular wineglass, in stead of a flute. Which does not deminish the champagne, but still feels a bit… ‘less’. Oh well…
We landed just after sunrise in Korea. As I was not very hungry, I had some coffee and juice for breakfast.
My ticket was an award-booking, I paid only 25.000 Flying Blue miles, which is fair for a medium/long-haul flight in Business Class in an Airbus A350!
